elize albers - the pink lady

This bag was done in a short time frame for a really good friend of mine, Elize.

Elize is a very particular woman, that knows exactly how what she wants in life, good taste and the biggest heart ever!

Elize asked for a gift "that was small.............but expensive", given the current pink-shirt debacle the BUlls are having, and Elize being a really big Bills fan, we opted in buying her a pink Bulls shirt. The gift when rolled up was rather small, and therefor the bag had to be over-sized, to make it look even smaller! :-)

Elize loves her mother tongue, and there for I had no choice but to keep the bag in Afrikaans!

upon looking for something pink, yet sophisticated, I decide on editing one the most famous wallpapers of all time, Marcel Wanders', to something pink.

This bag didn't need a card, as it was "signed" on the inside flip.

Corporate gift, IS Auto - Susan's Beetle

Corporate Gift - for IS Auto - sale of a New Beetle to Ms. Smith.

This bag is small, personalized, corporate bag with company logo and details.

The bag was adapted to fit the New Beetle Theme, for Ms. Smith.

The bag contains a small Beetle, the Spare Key as well as small bottle of 'dop'.

eleven today - khanyi's birthday

This girly bag, for Khanyi, an eleven year old girl, was finished in bright pink and purple, her favourite colours.

With smiley's and hearts and girly pink, this bag much loved by her parents, who ordered the bag from me.

the card was done in a matching colour and text combination, with custom wording as written by her dad.

 YOUR NAME ON A BAG

It all started a couple of months ago, when my mom bought a gift for a friend of hers that was turning 60 and we went looking for a bag or box to put the gift in.

It could not just be any bag or box, as the gift was very specific, and could not be folded or squashed in any way. The gift was a corset-holder as shown in the picture.

So I decided to, after several failed attempts at buying a bag , to simply just make one that can fir the item, have a unique and custom design, and that fits in with the theme of the 60th birthday party: cowboy and cowgirls!

after sizing the bag to fit the corset-holder, i went about designing "gift paper" to fit he cowgirl theme. the theme also led to the design of card that matched the gift paper and theme.

here is the cowgirl bag and card:

front: Has the name of the birthday girl - "Trienie"

back: Has "60th" written on it

the card front: "Happy 60th birthday"

the card inside: left: cowgirl sayings; right: place to write a personal message



the card back: made with love, as all cards and bags are made with love

and that is how "Trienie's" name got on a bag!

thank you bag - altus & madi

This bag, was for a very special gift, a gift of thank you to a brother and sister-in-law, after loads of support and assistance through a year of studying architecture. 
The brief from Louwna was to make bag that could house verdiglorious' valentines pack [best pesto this side of the Vaal River] , and to match the card that she had already purchased. The bag was mimicking the style of the card and the following was the end product:

front: "love ya!"

back: "thank you, altus & madi"

The bag had red handles with red tissue paper, picking up on the red font on the crisp white bag!

This bag's brief was simple, something sophisticated, but personalized
and it must fit a wine bottle!

I opted for a repetition of the birthday person's name; "Altus".

repeating of Altus on the whole exterior of the bag, with strategic
placing of "happy birthday" within the matrix of Altus'.
